Joy
Earlier in the year I have been participating in Effy Wild's Book of Days and also reading Patti Digh's Life is a verb. One of the actions from Patti's book was to identify "what brings you joy?", Effy used this as a prompt for one of the Bod pages back in February. She linked to this fun website, wordle, and suggested we print out our "Joy" word cloud, and use it in a collage page in answer to Patti's question "What brings you joy?"
Unfortunately my printer has been kaputt since around that same time, so I have still to make my own collage page about joy.
I may still make my collage. However here is a reminder to myself just how much there is that brings me joy and just how full of joy my life is. From today, and for the rest of April, I'm setting myself the joyful task of visiting some part of my cloud each day, however small. I'm wondering whether to jump into the Blogging A-Z Challenge with a "What Brings you Joy?" theme. As blogging(and bloggers) is one of the things that brings me joy, it might well be a good idea, to get me up and running again!
What brings you joy dear blogging friends? I wonder if I could name one or two things for each of you?
I think I might!

Patti Digh is awesome. I like the idea of a word cloud. I think I am going to do this!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing your cloud. If you do a joy cloud I wonder if Norbert will be included? ;)
DeleteI like this idea a lot. I called myself Joyful just to remind myself that life has "joy" and meaning. I like that you have a lot of things that bring you joy. It would be cool to make my own Joy cloud. I might get around to it ;-)
ReplyDeleteHi Penny. I loved how you so quickly made your joy cloud and you reminded me that a joy cloud is ever expanding! Thank you.
DeleteLiking this one! I think I could do with reminding myself what brings me joy. Thank you for being a step in the right direction.
ReplyDeletePS. I love that white daffodil. That's joyful.
ReplyDeleteHi AJ and thanks for your comments. I think your blog is always full of joy - I know that "words" would be included in your own joy cloud, as would writing and Orkney.
DeleteI love this idea... might need some time to think about things... did it take you long to find the exact words that describe what brings you joy... it is sometimes hard to put it in one word... I hope you will always have joy embrace you and surround you wherever you go Jan.
