I started to blog whilst I was training for a trek of The Great Wall of China. The trip was originally designed to allow me to mark the 40 year anniversary of my Mum's death, her 80th birthday and at the same time raise some money for Cascade - a bereavement counselling service for children. I am someone who enjoys reading, walking, taking photographs, and who is working on letting go of some anxiety and putting down some burdens. This blog is helping me to do that, and is a place into which the light is able to shine, more and more often. It is a place where I can celebrate being alive and all the joys of living. Where I can find my voice and shout out when I feel a need to make a noise about something.
