Collaging the Weeks

1/52 Weeks of Noting
"You don't need endless time and perfect conditions. Do it now. Do it today. Do it for twenty minutes and watch your heart start beating."
 - Barbara Sher

* I am playing along with Stargardener's 52 weeks of noting.
Each Friday she is creating a small collage using a playing card and random elements.  Her mission is to creatively document the keywords, colors and.or lessons of each week. She is posting her cards every Saturday and sharing on twitter #my52cards and Flickr(my52cards).

  1. I absolutely love your collage and the quote you've selected. Though I've never mastered or even implemented doing something for 15-20 minutes or in increments of that unit of time, I really do believe in "do it now. do it today." and I try to implement that as often as I can. It works! Happy New Year to you dear Jan.

  2. It sounds like fun. But I just committed myself to an inchie a day. (There's a link on my blog if you'd like to see.) I'm using them in a similar way.

    1. Your inchies are just amazing AJ. I do think they would be good for me as they are so small. I tend to work big and messy! lol

  3. Jan, I started journalling in art at the beginning of last year. I remember I was inspired by your creative artwork. Then I gave up for various reasons. I thought I would start a written daily journal this year, but I'm once again encouraged by the thought of expressing my thoughts through a weekly collage - perhaps I will do a mix of words and pictures? ....
Hope your week is a good one.

    1. I like to do a mixture too. Not always for public consumption though. Thanks for your visit Linda. x

  4. I originally read this as "1/52weeks of NOTHING". Small screen, tired eyes. But it made sense to me read through the Small Stones connection. As I read more, it could be taken as creating out of nothing, with the goal of achieving nothing. Mi dullness in art? I made a commitment to myself to keep my kiln active every day. Even if I just toss in an experimental mix of found objects and glass, to keep the creative juices flowing, without any other goal.

  5. Having technological difficulties....that odd phrase above should read "mindfulness in art" Oops!
