Scrap That!

August Break 2012
Those of you who visit often will be used to my ways by now. You will know how I am for starting something....then starting something else.....and again......and oooh more shiny distractions. You will also be used to my promising that this time I will make a commitment to this....and this....and my starting with a big bang, then.......pfffft.

Ok , I know that's not always the case. Look at the ICAD summer project last year, I managed that! Look at my day job, and the commitment I have to doing my very best there.

I know it sounds like just another excuse, BUT I am soooo busy with my day job and it's downright exhausting right now. We have also a long awaited visitor arriving this weekend, baring any last minute hitches. On top of all that, as one huge challenge for us is almost over, whack, another just as huge and unpleasant, is just beginning! Life eh? I know I like life lessons, but this is getting ridiculous now!

Anyway. I have had to scrap certain projects for the time being, but I need to blog for my sanity. I don't want to bore you by moaning and complaining about how hard things are again, ( I know, I know, why change the habit of a lifetime?) so I thought I would participate in the August Break(via Susannah Conway) and try to take a photo a day. Surely that is manageable for even me?

So here are my photographs for Day 1 and Day 2. I will try not to add words on some of the days, which will be very difficult for me. Today, I am wordy, even though I thought I wasn't going to be.

New Home for the Bookcase - August 1st 2012

  2. I totally understand about being busy. August seems to be chock full of things to do and I'm not even having to go to a day job. I do wish you well with getting much done. Enjoy your little visitor too. I'm sure he/she will be very excited to spend time at your home. Hugs. xx

    2. I forgot to mention yesterday that I loved seeing your bookcase. I am book lover too and despite trying not to buy new books anymore, I still do. I just try to keep the cost as low as possible. Most of my books are now purchased 2nd hand and now and then I get in a borrow from the library phase.

  3. Awww... beautiful pics of your children... I love the idea of taking a picture a day.... I was talking about a similar thing on my last post today...starting something and not finishing it... I guess we are similar in that area... that is why I had to set myself a challenge... just like you... I guess it keeps us going but I am hoping that I will stay motivated to do it.
